Minutes
The Minutes of the previous meeting held on the 20/05/2015 were accepted on the basis of the English Report circulated with the Agenda. MTS proposed, seconded by AG.

Rachel Smith – Senior Housing Officer, Anglesey County Council & PCSO Sarah Hardie
Ms Smith attending as a follow up from last month’s meeting. It was reported that action had been taken in relation to the concerns raised previously. The County Council is working closely with PCSO’s but rely on residents to keep them informed of any problems.Concerns raised by AG regarding tenant failing to take bins out on collection days resulting in rubbish accumilating. Ms Smith reported that all tenants are given information regarding waste collection days. CCTV installed at the Maes Llewelyn flats following recent problems. It appears that the situation has improved. Open day to be held at Min y Môr on 02/07/2015 between 12:30 and 1:30 arranged by the Tenant Participation Officer. PCSO Sarah Hardie reported that the Neighbourhood Watch scheme may be resurected in the village. Copy of tenant’s newsletter to be sent to the Community Council.

Anglesey County Council – Tourist Information and Beach Safety Sign
Clerk informed by Anglesey County Council that the correct sign will be installed within the next few days..

Second warning sign for beach collected from The Sign Factory, Mona. Invoice for £80 + VAT authorised for payment..

Website development
RH declared an interest as Mr Carl Hussey of Carl’s Computer Solution is his son. Mr Carl Hussey suggesting changing the name of the website to www.aberffrawcommunitycouncil.org.uk. Clerk stated that the website’s address should be bilingual. Clerk to contact Mr Carl Hussey.

Anglesey County Council – Environmental and Community Grants
Gate not installed. CB reported that Nia Backhouse, Anglesey County Council was dealing with the matter. -
Aberffraw Village Hall
Estimate submitted by Anglesey Plumbing and Heating suggesting the removal of the existing LPG gas boiler and radiators and replacing with an air to water system. It is estimated that the work will cost £19,000 to £23,000 plus VAT at 5%. A system of this type would qualify for RHI funding. KW explained that a bio mass sytem would not be suitable. CB suggested looking into the possibility of installing a solar power system. KW explained that this would not be viable due to the reduction in tariff payments.. RH proposed and MTS seconded that KW request that Anglesey Plumbing and Heating provide a detailed specificationa nd quotation for the work.

Aberffraw Primary School
Permission granted from the County Council to remove the Red Squirrel Survey Plaque. Email sent to Anglesey County Council regarding condition of the building. Awaiting reply. No further information regarding the sale of the building.

NRW – Aberffraw Common
Clerk informed by Mr John Ratcliffe that all indivuduals with an interest in the common will be consulted including those with rights to common. Mr John Ratcliffe has not had an opportunity to look into concerns raised by CB in relation to the possibility of the tide breaking through to the area known as the pant but will do so in the forthcoming weeks.

Llys Llewelyn
Mr Gerallt Llewelyn Jones (Menter Môn) unable to attend meeting as he is away on holiday. Mr Jones happy to attend future meeting. Cllr A Griffith reported that the Scrutiny Committee was satisfied thal all is order in relation to the sale of the complex. -
Boat left on side of road – Dothan
Clerk reported that the Anglesey County Council Highways Department is investigating.
- Proposal by Mr Glyn Jones to officially twin Aberffraw with Highburton
Clerk reported that she had informed Mr Jones of the Community Council’s concerns regarding the fact that Aberffraw is twinned withMortagne-sur-Gironde, France and the general opinion that the twinning of towns and villages is carried out to establish educational links and to exchange information regarding culture and heritage. Mr Jones has informed the Clerk that several towns and villages are twinned with a number of locations. Clerk to request that Mr Jones outline his proposals in writing.

Accounts for 2014-2015
Clerk reported that the accounts had been submitted to the Internal Auditor and had been approved. Proposed by MTS and seconded by RH that the Aberffraw Community Council approve the accounts following the internal audit.

- One Voice Wales – information regarding training
- Rev. Emlyn Cadwaladr – letter requesting contribution of £2,200 towards “Berffro Bash” – event held for local children. Proposed by RH and seconded by RFO that the Clerk should inform Rev Cadwaladr that the fuding from the solar park development has been ringfenced to meet the costs of essential repairs to the Village Hall. Clerk to suggest applying to the Fourteen Programme for funding.
- Horizon Nuclear Power – details of information events to be held across the island from the 7th – 15th of July.
- Register of Interest forms – Clerk distributed copies of the forms for members to complete and return to the July meeting. Clerk explained that the majority would only be required to sign a “nill return”. Tenants of allotments are required to note tenancy on the form.

Dothan Crossroads
Concerns expressed regarding deteriorating condition of wooden signpost. Anglesey County Council have stated that they would not consider repairing the sign but would install a modern metal signpost. It is felt that a modern sign would not be in-keeping with the area particularly in view of the fact that there is a cluster of listed buildings around the crossroads. Clerk to make enquiries with Cadw.

Concerns expressed regarding condition of bench. Clerk to make enquires with Mr H R Hughes regarding cost of repairs.

Bangor Street – Parking
Reports that cars parking on the street are blocking the view for drivers wishing to turn down Bangor Street from Church street. Clerk to request that Amglesey County Council Highways Department consider installing a mirror.
